Chief Engineer – Radio Broadcast

Opening for a Radio Broadcast Chief Engineer located within a growing market.

The ideal candidate will need to be well-organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

This candidate will work seamlessly with staff on all aspects of the operation and be responsible to prioritize needs through a solution-oriented mindset.

 

Desirable qualifications of the candidate are:

• Five years broadcast engineering experience
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline, trade school, military or direct experience.
• Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Working knowledge and ability to inspect, repair, and maintain all aspects of the broadcast facility. This includes FM tube type transmitters, STL systems, Combiner systems, Automation Systems, Satellite Delivery, Antenna Systems and more.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and facilities management coordination within the broadcast facilities.
• Knowledge and thorough understanding of FCC rules and regulations
• Ability to perform Chief Operator designation to maintain compliance
• Directs and carries out testing and maintenance of all broadcast facilities to ensure operational readiness meets or exceeds industry standards.
• Work with Corporate Chief Engineer to standardize and improve facilities.
• Should be proficient with computers, software, networking and able to assist in enforcing computing policies and procedures as directed by Corporate Office.
• Ability to respond to technical emergencies on a 24/7/365 basis, this may include varied work hours as needed.
• SBE Certification is desirable.
• Additional duties may require the climbing of ladders, working on elevated surfaces, good manual dexterity and ability to lift or carry equipment.

Candidate will report to the local GM and Corporate Chief Engineer.
