Renda Media/Classic Hits WHJB FM 107.1 is searching for an exceptional individual to be our next General Manager in Greensburg, PA. The successful candidate will lead Westmoreland County’s (PA) #1 radio station and affiliated digital assets.
Job Duties
- GM is responsible for leading and directing our sales team in all aspects of sales department including radio and digital sales.
- GM must work in harmony with corporate and local sales team to drive revenue growth from multiple sources, integrating on air, digital, and events, designing marketing campaigns that will increase revenue.
- GM is responsible for budget accomplishments and disciplined sales management.
Qualifications and Characteristics
Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to:
- Lead and coach a team with a balance of accountability and inspiration.
- Exceed budgetary goals set by corporate management.
- Hire, train and motivate new employees giving them the tools they need to succeed.
- Recruit new employees and continue to actively search for potential sales candidates.
- Continually grow in professional training/learning as our industry changes
- Be involved with the communities we serve.
- Must be knowledgeable of computer software programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Excellent computer skills and easily trainable on various internal software programs.
Track Record
- For consideration, candidates must have a record of goal setting, achieving through different avenues of radio and digital sales.
- Upper management experience.
- Minimum of two years or more successful radio station or sales management experience.
- Career stability, and the ability to recruit, train and grow talent is essential.
