RENDA BROADCASTING CORPORATION receives the OUTSTANDING PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATION award.


Pittsburgh, PA. (November 13, 2008) The Association of Fundraising Professionals / Western Pennsylvania Chapter celebrated National Philanthropy Day by honoring eleven (11) individuals and companies for their work in helping people and organizations. This was the 23rd year for these awards, which is celebrated nationally each year in November. The purpose is to recognize the importance of philanthropy and those who actively enrich lives within the community.


RBC was nominated by the Make-a-Wish foundation for its past 19 years involvement in helping their "Light Up A Child's Life" campaign raise more than $26,000,000.00 here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Also, for RBC/Pittsburgh's support of the American Diabetes Association, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of American, the Carnegie Science Center, the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" campaign and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. RENDA BROADCASTINGS’ (WGNE-FM) 99.9 GATOR COUNTRY “Jacksonville’s New Number One for Country”ANNOUNCES Randy Hill as Program Director of WGNE-FM in Jacksonville, FL


JACKSONVILLE, FL. (July 1, 2008) Renda Broadcasting of Jacksonville’s WGNE-FM, today announced that Randy Hill will be Program Director of 99.9 Gator Country format.Randy Hill, most recently of South Central Communications in Nashville, TN was responsible for taking WCJK-FM to the number one ratings position.

“I am very excited to have Randy leading the Gator team in Jacksonville”, said General Manager Gary Spurgeon.  “He has a very successful track record in growing station ratings to the number one position in County, Oldies and CHR”.

He comes with a 20-year record of accomplishment of successful programming, management and on-air experience.  His duties will include PD and Afternoon Talent for WGNE-FM Gator Country.

“99.9 Gator Country has been on a steady ratings climb in for the past 2 years . . . I am looking forward to working with the entire Gator Team, and helping them become the Premiere Country Radio station in Jacksonville”, said Randy Hill.  “My family and I are very excited to be moving to Jacksonville and enjoying all the experiences that the First Coast has to offer”.
